Work-wise, 2014 has been my busiest year to date and in the past 12 months I have recorded 470 spots. (That’s not a typo. That’s just a busy year.)

Highlights of the past several months include spots for Hyundai, Discover Card, Philips, Pepsico, a “First Look” trailer for Disney, and a top secret pilot for Warner Brothers (details forthcoming).

I’m the voice on the new Shaw Floors “Where awesome happens” campaign, the Weebly “We believe” ad (see below), and remain the voice for Desert Diamond Casinos and the American Cancer Society on-hold messages in English and Spanish.

Other new clients include Shriner’s Hospital, Paintcare, Isagenix, Iron Mountain, Briggs & Stratton, BMW, Sonicview, Deltec and California Baptist University. These, in addition to new audiobooks, lots of trailers, a few promos, animation gigs, and iPad apps.

Fun fact: I booked an Acura spot on the day Zola was born, so I had to pass on the gig.

All in all, I feel so super duper grateful for all the work of the past year and excited to see what 2015 will bring.

What a lot I have to be thankful for this year. 
Number One is without a doubt my amazing wife giving birth to our first child, Zola Avery Lauren Sawyer. She was born Nov. 7th and weighed 8lbs. 6 oz.
She deserves her own post, so I’ll continue the year-end wrap-up below.
(And yes, she’s always this chill. In fact, her name means “calm, tranquil.”)

Happy first day of summer! Here’s my mid-year check-in: since January, I’ve booked over 200 spots, including gigs for ABC, CBS, Toyota, 5 Hour Energy, Schick, Modelo Especial, Habitat for Humanity, Chesapeake Harley Davidson, Gavin Leather, DFCU Financial, the Indianapolis Indians, promos for Telemundo, the trailer for the Passion of the Christ (in Spanish), several iPhone apps, dozens of explainer videos, book trailers, audiobooks, and the voice of “Escandalo” on Jimmy Kimmel. Those in Arizona are hearing me as the voice of Desert Diamond Casino, and if you call in to the AmericanCancer Society you’ll hear my voice on the recorded messages—both in English and Spanish. Now for some sun.

Excited to share this, the new trailer for Mr. Jones, directed by Karl Mueller. I play a small part in the film and do a little of the trailer VO. Release date: May 2014.

A great start to the year. Just recorded gigs for New Mexico Ford Dealers, Novozymes, Marine Park Golf Course, and DFCU Financial. 

And trailers for: Air Safety Investigators, How Have You Loved?, An Exceptional Zephyr, Create Your Legacy, The Imaginarium World, Adventures of Mom and Daughter Yoga, The Light Theater Opened to Universe II, Doing the London Walk, A Dutch Institute, and The President’s Ultimatum. 

I’m in Dublin this January, playing Alyosha in an adaptation of Dostoevsky’sThe Brothers Karamazov.

It’s a magical process and I’m working with some beautiful people.

I loved my month in Ireland, but I’m happy to be back in LA.
